  • Bisexuality
    • BiNetUSA is a organization that lobbies for policy changes and education about bisexuality. Their expressed purpose is to eliminate "biphobia" and discrimination based on sexual orientation.
    • The Bisexual Resource Center is a non profit educational organization devoted to educating the public about bisexuality and providing support network for individuals.
  • Transgender, B/D/S/M, and Polyamory
    • transsexual.org -- A well-written site with lots of information about transsexuality, including historical and biological perspectives.
    • genderpsychology.org -- A site written by a transsexual developmental psychologist, it includes information, resources, personal experiences, and links.
    • www.hbigda.org -- This is the official site for the Harry Benjamin guidelines for transitioning. They decide upon the standards of care and ethical guidelines for medical doctors and psychologists to adhere to when treating transgender patients who want to transition.
    • www.tes.org -- The website for TES (acronym for The Eulenspiegel Society), one of the world's oldest and largest social and educational organizations for b/d/s/m, located in New York. The site includes many links to other organizations and clubs.
    • sexuality.org/bdsm.html -- This is a comprehensive site with lots of information and facts about b/d/s/m.
    • lovemore.com -- This site includes information about polyamory, personal ads, chat rooms, and a links page organized by state.
    • lovethatworks.org -- The site for the Institute for 21st Century Relationships, a professionally-run organization that sponsors conferences and a journal about "sexualove", another term for polyamory. It includes popular as well as scientific information.
  • The National Coalition for Sexual Freedom (NCSF) -- This is a national organization committed to altering the political, legal, and social environment in the United States in order to guarantee equal rights for consenting adults who practice forms of alternative sexual expression.
  • Sites for Professionals in Sexuality
    • www.aasect.org -- This is the site for the American Associations for Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists, the biggest professional organization for "sexology" people in the U.S. There are consumer articles here as well on topical issues of sexuality (e.g., about abstinence-only sex education, about intergenerational sex in the clergy).
    • www.siecus.org -- The site for the largest sex education organization in the world, it designs, disseminates, and defends sex positive education. SIECUS, for example, helped put information about gay and lesbian lifestyles in school education curricula and currently lobbies strongly against "just say no" sex education strategies.
    • www.sexuality.org -- This is a very progressive site that includes information about alternative sexual lifestyles. It is a bit more radical than aasect.org or siecus.org; you will find links to articles on polyamory and bdsm on the homepage, for example.
  • Therapist Referrals for Sexual Minorites
    • bannon.com.kap -- Includes referrals to "kink-aware professionals", i.e. therapists comfortable with and knowledgeable about b/d/s/m, fetishes, and so on.
    • polychromatic.com/pfp -- This site has referrals to poly-friendly professionals. Links

    • Michael Shernoff is a leading gay therapist in the New York City area with many important articles and books - many can be found on his site.
